Lake Forest assumed the lead inthe conference race last week, takingKnox and Monmouth into c?mp intwo hotly contested games. In thefirst half of the Knox game, theteams played evenly, Lake Forestleading 15 to 13. But the LakeForest squad came back with a rush inthe second half and piled up a hugescore, winning out 42 to 21. The win-ners displayed wonderful team workand got most of the breaks in the , however, fought desperatelyfrom start to finish but was unable tobreak up the Lake Forest team feature of the game was thework of the Lake Forest forwards, JoeThomas and R.
