The flesh is tUlblU noticeably thicker than the present commercial varieties and usually a somewhat deeper and richer salmon. When grown on good soil, this cantaloupe averages between 3 and 4 pounds and after tests from 12-13% soluble solids, indicating a high sugar content. The rind is exceptionally hard, making it a better shipper than other commercial varieties. The vines are quite vigorous and quite resistant to alternaria and powdery mildew and tolerant to downy mildew. 80 days.
