Twelve members had been transferred to HancocksVeteran Reserve Corps and to other regiments, in whichthey finished their three years enlistment. Thirty-two mem-bers were discharged from service prior to the terminationof their enlistment period, owing to wounds and members were killed on the field, and died ofwounds and disease. Captain James W. H. Stickney. who commanded thecompany at its organization in Bridgeton. was later pro-moted to the position of major, which he filled with distin-guished ability.
