Mia Rhodes pins the rank of captain on her husband Jacob Rhodes of Macomb, Illinois, was during a promotion ceremony at Camp Lincoln in Springfield, Illinois, Dec. 12. Rhodes enlisted in the Illinois Army National Guard in 2011. He serves as the plans officer for the Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 1st Battalion 106th Cavalry Regiment based in Kewanee, Illinois.
