Harrogate, North Yorkshire, UK. 8th July 2014 - The 156th Great Yorkshire Show began today in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. The event is a showcase of local produce and skills and the wide range of activities and entertainment, as well as judging of submitted entries in a huge range of categories, draws in huge crowds from across the country with 134,837 people attending in 2013. This year sees a record in the number of competitive entries at 12,843. The event takes place on the Great Yorkshire Showground and is on until Thursday (10th July).
