It is a picturesque little place, crouching at thewaterside under the brow of a steep hill, where thecrooked streets threaten to shoot the pedestrians straightinto the harbor, and where thatched roofs are still infashion. The bleak Cornish coast offerslittle in the way of encouragement to farmers, and thechief occupation of the men and the larger boys is little harbor, artificially made by long piers built outinto t
