The Northern Great Lakes Forest, in upstate Minnesota contains a variety of indigenous species including wolves, bobcats, lynx, cougars, black bears, foxes, coyotes, white-tailed deer, fishers and badgers plus many smaller species such as raccoons, skunks and porcupines. It is possible to photograph many of these species in wildlife preserves.
