Wildcat Mountain in the White Mountain National Forest is 186 miles (300 km) North of Boston Massachusetts on the American East Coast. The ski resort began in 1933 and has the second largest vertical drop, 2,112 (644 m) of the 26 New Hampshire Ski areas. Skiing is the official sport of the state of New Hampshire and is a major source of State revenue.
