Bicycle enthusiast uses a Citibike in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York

Bicycle enthusiasts at a docking station in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York on Monday, May 27, 2013 on the first day of the city's bike-sharing program. 6000 bikes in over 300 stations have been placed so far for the roll out of the program. Cyclists purchased one-year passes for $95 which gives them unlimited 45 minute rides to get from point "A" to point "B". Daily and hourly passes will soon be available. (© Richard B. Levine)
