Nab Head from Hallin fell 2426, Cumbria, Lake district National Park, UK, Europe

Hallin fell is a short walk from Martindale on the eastern side of Lake Ullswater in the lake district national park, cumbria, england. It affords panoramic views along almost the entire 11 mile length of ullswater, this shot being to the northern end with Pooley bridge sitting at the head of the lake. The ramble from the martindale car park takes approx. 15 to 20 minutes to the trig point. On a clear day the market town of Penrith can be seen beyond pooley bridge. Red deer come down the valley sides to graze the pastures below and have been present in these in hills since introduced by the Romans. High street the Roman road to the North, follows the fell top.
