A Munro is a Scottish Mountain above 3000ft () of which they are 284 and take there name from Sir Hugh Munro who classified & published The Munro Tables in 1871. A Corbett is a Scottish Mountain between 2500ft (762m) and 3000ft (914m) with a drop of at least 500ft () of which they are 220 and take there name from John Rooke Corbett who first classified them.
