Male hominine hip bone. Partial hip bone from the hominine skeleton KNM-ER 3228, which was discovered in Lake Turkana, Kenya, and exhibits many characteristics of a modern human male hip bone. Dated at between and million years ago, the specimen most probably belonged to the species Homo erectus as it is very similar to the hip bones of OH 28 and Arago XLIV.
