Mark Cavendish and Bradley Wiggins finished low in the rankings of Stage 5 Tour of Britain in Stoke-on-Trent on Thursday, September 13, 2012. Consequently Mark Cavendish lost the overall lead of the tour to Lee Howard who regained the IG gold jersey whilst Marc De Maar won the stage.
