Original description:—" Shell dextral, widely umbilicated, sub- diseoi'd, dull pale brown with close-set sienna markings crossing the whorls. Epidermis thick and nacreous, and somewhat rough. Apex flat but slightly concave, the wliorls rising regularly. "Whorls 8, the last descends slightly near the aperture, which is very oblique and ovate.
