THE HOUSING OF PLANTS. Ferns, Mosses, and other shade-loving plants togiow luxuriantly. But the hand of Geo. Wilsonis evident everywhere, and his spirit seems topervade the place. The nesting-boxes that heplaced for the birds are still where he put them,and his feathered friends use them. Rare , Camellias, Japanese Lilies, Irises, andcountless other choice plants arrest the are masses of Pernettyas profusely coveredwith delicately - tinted berries that look likelarge Heather - bells. Kosa rugosa is ladenwith berries, and glows in the autumn between the shrubs are made enchantinglieyond conception by long, drooping sheaves ofGentian Asclepiadea, both purple and white ;Irish Heath, blooming as I have never seen itbefore ; Water-Lilies growing up above the waterwith healthy vigour.
