Bornean Orangutan female sitting on grass and having a quiet moment at Matang National Park in Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo. Orangutan can be translated as man or person of the forest when it is converted into the Malay or Indonesian language. Orang means person and hutan means forest. A very apt name for these beautiful primates. The Bornean Orangutan along with those in Sumatra are on the Endagered species list and it may not be long before they become extinct!
