The description of DOUBLE RED DELICIOUS follows that of Delicious except its ability to lay on early color at low elevations which the regular Delicious will not do. Many growers experience difficulty obtaining color early enough to complete in early markets where the Delicious is grown at low elevationsâfor them the Double Red Delicious is the answer. The apple gets very dark in color at ele- vation of 100 feet or more and we recommend our RICHA- RED DELICIOUS for planting above that elevation. \ DELICIOUS (13) The JONATHAN APPLE, grown in apple districts from coast to coast has stood the test of time and ranks today as one of the best general purpose apples.
