Easy to grow in summer, either in beds or pots. For piazza or summer conservatory decoratian they are unrivaled. Their beautifully shaped and glossy foliage is elegantly variegated in the most telling manner. One, perhaps, is regularly dotted with round raised spots of white ; another is ribbed and veined with pink, or scarlet, or yellow, while still ancther is splashed and marbled with white or shaded almost black. In fact, the im- mense leaves are so marked with delicate and vivid colors as to make them as showy as great and peculiar flowers.
