Last week, after Ash Wednesday, the market eased considerably, and by Sat- urday there were adequate receipts in almost every line. After the blizzard of the early part of the week the sun came out bright each day. The de- mand, however, is only ordinary, and unless it strengthens greatly to take up the increased supply, there will be a crowded market before long. Killarney and "White Killarney, Kich- mond and Taft have increased greatly in supply on new crops that are coming in and the stock is good. American Beauties are still more or less conspic- uous by their absence. Sweet pea receipts have increased greatly. Jfink ones are the best sellers. In the other colors only the best find a ready market. Prices have dropped. The prices on carnations, too, are drop- ping. The offerings are about the same as those of the last few weeks, but since the influx of the larger cuts of other flowers some of the demand has turned away from them. Giganteum lilies sell well. The same is true of callas and rubrums. None of the three, however, are in large supply. Bulbous stock is arriving in larger quan- tities than before, but outside of the call for
