Pfc. Rex Deleon, a scout rifleman with 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, takes up a firing position during a field exercise aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Oct. 25, 2016. The exercise was held as part of a week-long Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation. Marines undergo MCCREs to ensure combat readiness before deployments.
