PLASMA CELL, TEM

A plasmocyte is a cell that produces and excretes antibodies which enter the plasma. B lymphocytes derive from plasmocytes. Plasmocytes are found in the bone marrow, lymphatic nodes, and in the spleen, but not in the bloodstream. This is a histology section of plasmocytes seen under scan electron microscopy. The image has been colored.
