A long and hard treck across slipery and rough lava fields led us to the latest lava outbreak on the Big Island of Hawaii, the lava itself seemed to be alive, although moving very slowly, with great purpose it seemed. Taking advantage of the slow moving lava, I set my tripod up in the path of the lava, having just long enough to portray it's slow emergence from beneath the seemingly solid surface.
