Fine antique cobalt-ground Satsuma vase by Sennosuke Kusube. Decorated with two beautifully painted figural scenes - one depicting a samurai with his horse, the other depicting landscape with a fisherman. Surrounding areas heavily gilded with diaper patterns and floral sprays. In very good antique condition with some age-related rubbing to the gilding as per photographs. Marked ‘楠部’ to the base.
