Polyporus squamosus, or Dryad's saddle, or Pheasant's back bracket fungus. Although edible when very young, this specimen is already too large and old
Small clear glass heart on the cap of a Polyporus squamosus, or Dryad's saddle, or Pheasant's back bracket fungus. The latter common name reflects the similarity in appearance with bird's plumage. Photographed outside in situ, the fungi is wet with rain.
