Repairs become more expen- sive over time due to increased decay and inflation. c: Determine whether individual re- pairs will correct the problem or if major design changes are necessary. d: Be sure that the repairs will stop further decay. e: Consider appearance of the building. f: Schedule repairs to interfere as little as possible with the regular or seasonal use of the building. g: Ensure that your repairs do not inactivate drainage or other aspects of your building. h: Plan your repairs. Contact your local District Agriculturist or District Home Economist. They have lists on hand and will help secure judges for your fair. What is the Procedure for Paying Judges? Judges must request payment and reimburse- ment for costs (as outlined) on the appropriate form - available from your District Agriculturist or Home Economist. What are Judges Paid? The Department of Agriculture pays an Honorarium for services of $ per day maximum, plus mileage at $.22/km (Maximum 480 Km round trip ), plus meals at current government rates and lodging expenses with receipts. * Note on Judge Expenses If the Agricultural Society pays the judge directly, we are not able to reimburse you. If you hire a judge who charges more than $60/day - you pay the difference. The Department reserves the right to limit the number of judges it will pay for in an
