One of the most graceful of climbers; a quick, rapid, vig- orous grower; it is surpassed by no plant for covering walls or piazzas, and this, combined with its rich, pendulous panicles of pea-shap- ed flowers appearing in the spring in great profusion renders this one of the most desir- able of deciduous climbing plants. Chinese Purple (W. Chinensis.) Flowers pea- shaped, in pendulous clusters a foot long. Chinese White (W. Chinensis Alba.) Chinese variety; pure white.
