THE South Kootenay Board of Tradeat Nelson, , have issued a circularurging that public buildings shouldbe erected there in accordance with theimportance of Nelson as a commercialcentre. Nelson was made a port in August, 1895,previous to which time it had been an out-port of New Westminster. The collectionsat the port have so grown that the totalcollection last year at Nelson was $431,048as compared with $407,762 at the seaport ofVancouver.
