Re-constructed iron-age house at Bostadh on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides

A series of iron age houses were discovered at Bostadh Beach on the Hebridean island of Great Bernera in 1993 after a storm cut away the dunes. They are thought to date back to the second half of the first Millennium. The houses were excavated and then re-buried to protect them. In 1998-9 a replica house was built nearby.
