They arelikely, therefore, to be found in any region ofcompact rocks, particularly among what thegeologists call igneous rocks, and are morelikely to occur in dry regions subject to greatextremes of temperature than in wet. TheRinging Rocks of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, areknown as diabase (trap), a rock in nature likethat which makes up the famous Hudson RiverPalisades. Ringing rocks of the samenature are found also at Blacks Eddy, yourState, and in various places in other MUSICAL AND RINGING ROCKS.
