The Shard, London Bridge is presently under construction and will be the tallest building within the European Union and 45th tallest building in the world. The Shard was designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano. When finished the building will stand 1,017 ft (310m) tall and have 72 floors and a further 15 radiator floors.
