Neela, left, belongs to a community of Jogins. The Jogins live a form of temple prostitution where after a perfunctory religious ceremony it is the parents who pimp their children. In many cases the girls who are pimped are not the parent's own children but have been bought as babies. The parents live off the proceeds. Neela has stopped being a Jogini prostitute. Her sister, aged 24, right, is still working Her mother Lallama adopted her as an orphan. Neela has decided not to let her own daughter, second from left, become a Jogini, in spite of her mother's encouragement.
