During the battle for Hue City on February 5, 1968, Sergeant Dickmen of the 1st Marine Division in Vietnam captured this photograph. In the image, a Marine from the 3rd Platoon, "H" Company, 2/5 regiment, can be seen carrying Vietnamese women to safety. This act took place in the midst of the battle as the Marines fought to secure the city. The photograph was taken on a 35mm negative with the photo identification code 1D-16-36-68.
