St John's church and graveyard, Stonequoy, Hoy, Orkney, Scotland. Non Denominational mission church, now redundant, cared for by local trust.

Small church & graveyard between north shore of North Bay (Longhope is on opposite shore) & the B9047 at Stoneyquoy, miles NE of Melsetter House on way to Lyness. A Non Denominational mission church built by public subscription in 1883 to offer alternative to Free Kirk. Made redundant in late 1990's due to falling population. The lack of services made it unsuitable for redevelopment, and concerns over the graveyard that was still in use meant Church of Scotland sold it for £1 to local Trust who are funded by voluntary subscription. Bellcote over west porch. Simple plastered walls. Still lit by oil lamps.
