The Albert Memorial Clock acting as a sentinel over traffic in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The Albert Memorial Clock acting as a sentinel over traffic in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The sandstone clock tower was constructed between 1865 and 1869 and is 113-feet tall. The design is a mix of French and Italian Gothic styles. As a result of being built on wooden piles on reclaimed land around the River Farset, the top of the tower leans four feet off perpendicular. The memorial sits in the Queen's Square and Custom's House Square areas which have become modern, fashinable sections of Belfast.
