The Holy Chalice Chapel (built between 1356-1369) where the supposed Holy Grail is exhibited in the Cathedral of Valencia. Gothic Altar Piece by Antonio Dalmau y Julià Florentí (1441-1446). The Grial was gave to the Temple by Alfonso V of Aragón (aka Alfonso the Magnanimous) in 1437. This relic is a cup of calcedony of 7 cm. height by 9,5 cm. of diameter, with base and handles added lately. Cientific studies have dated the cup around the 1st century and probably by an Antioch atelier. Saint Mary of Valencia Metropolitan Basilica Cathedral. Its construction began in 1262 in Gothic style, over the ruins of the old arab Mosque. Also contains previous elements from Romanesque and subsequents from Baroque. Valencia. Valencian Community.
