Oaribou are fairly common, especially in the neighborhood of Pine is the commonest big game, over a hundred being killed annually in the Long LakeHouse district. Ducks and partridge are very numerous, though the former are shy andhard to obtain. Geese do not breed in the district, but are plentiful in the spring andautumn months.
