Roses have been very scarce ever since Chri.'Stmas, which has helped other flowers, as customers turned from roses to other things. Carna- tions have been plentiful and are now much better in quality than two to three weeks ago. With only four days' sunshine from December 7 to January 19, there will certainly be many soft carnations. Bulbous stock is now coming in plentifully and with a good demand, but everyone's mind is centered on Easter, and it looks now as if some will not get their lilies in. NOTES.
