Completed in 1992 and thought to be the tallest statue in South Korea at 17 meters high,this Buddha at the Donghwasa Temple promotes reunification.
The plaza outside the Donghwasa Museum has one of the tallest (17m) Buddha statues in South Korea, and this was built in 1992 to encourage the reunification of North and South Korea through prayer. There is a stone pagoda, a fountain in the form of a huge turtle, and several other buildings.
