In the classes for 25 blooms of a variety awards were given to Sisson & Thurston, E. W. Ela, Turner, Mrs. C. M. Gills, Medford; D. E. Babcock, Berlin, Md.; Jas. Robertson and Lynd- vall & Delurey. In the classes for amateurs only, J. H. Flint. Sa- lem, captured four firsts and was "high ; Other ribbons went to N. Allen Lindsey, Marblehead; A. A. Bassett, W. C. Brady and H. L. Win- ter. The award of the Garden Maga- zine bronze medal for progressive work went to A. E. Johnson of Brock- ton, who made a display of over 100 seedlings, many of promise. The Cayeux et Le Clerc silver gilt medal went to Jas. Robertson for 12 blooms of Mme. Henri Cayeux. The H. A. Dreer prizes were won by Turner and W. W. Rawson & Co. The Dobbie & Co. silver medal to most successful exhibitor went to W. F. Turner & Co., New Bedford, Mass. D. E. Babcock, Berlin, Md., a mem- ber of the society, sent on several ex- hibits. It is to be regretted that the flowers arrived in such poor condition that they were practically out of the competition. The society now has a membership of about 400, well scat- tered over the whole country. The present officers are W. F. Turner, New Bedford, president; Henry W.
