On examining sacks of seed peas, September 14, 1911, a larva was found enclosed in a very tough silken cocoon. On October 24 an(>ther larva was found in a second sack. Mr. Evans also found a hibernating larva in a seed sack and kept it alive on his desk durhig the greater part of the winter.
