A Japanese hinawa ju-tanzutsu,late Edo period Round barrel,with a finely cut hakkaku muzzle,smooth bored,calibre 12 mm. The top side of the barrel with fine silver inlays,portraying Omodaka at the riverside with butterflies and lucky charms. On the underside inscription "Maki Hari,Shioja Nurioemon saku". Flash pan on the right side,lock and pan cover of brass,fireguard missing. Shaft of kashi wood with smooth brass fitting. Butt slightly worm-eaten,on the underside brass plaque with Sasaki mon.
