Lt. Col. Loren Thomson launches a medicine ball while keeping his back against the wall and his feet outstretched for the Seated Power Throw event of the OPAT. The purpose of the event is to assess a soldier’s upper-body power. The distance of three throws is combined to calculate the score. For a moderate level MOS, a score of 350 centimeters is required.
