A view looking west down King Street, Sydney, NSW, Australia in 1964 from its intersection with Castlereagh Street. The normally busy street seems very quiet so it could well be a Sunday. The area is much changed and all the shops on the near right are now gone, replaced by the tower and shopping complex of the MLC Centre. King Street is a street in the city centre of Sydney. This image is from an old amateur Kodak colour transparency – a vintage 1960s photograph.

King Street is a street in the city centre of Sydney in New South Wales. It runs from Sussex Street near Darling Harbour in the west, to Elizabeth Street in the east. It is located in the heart of the central business district (CBD) shopping area. This image is from an old amateur Kodak colour transparency. It will look soft if used at too large a size – a vintage 1960s photograph.
