Smooth patina of light-bronze and dull cherry-red, withgreen-turquoise and gray fleckings, and rich green and dark olive notes in the denser parts. Heiffht, 10 inches. 115—Bronze Tripod Sacrificial Vessel with Handle (Han) More or less in the shape of a small frying-pan, with deepenedbottom, standing on three slightly curved spear-head legs withpoints downward. Long curved handle finishing witii a dragon-head. Turquoise-green patina witli patclies of cobalt-blue. Hci;/ht. 5 inches. 116—Bronze Vase of Flattened Pear-shape (Chou). With broad, truncated neck anddeep foot. The neck is sur-rounded by a band of incised andrelief ornament comprehendingthe fret and open scrolls, battle-axes and the symbolized featuresof the tiger or ogre. The tigerseye recurs in a narrow scrollband about the foot. The entiresurface of the jar is covered by athick patina of rich malachitetones, mingled with warm, red-dish-brown and iron-rust hue, andvarious incrustations. Height, ti/o inchcx: irUUh, 514 inches. 117—Bronze Beaker {Han) Conventional form, with scarcely definition between the mid-section and the trumpet lip or mouth; in the size of a largedrinking-cup easily handled.
