A burning Japanese torpedo-bomber falls after being knocked down by artillery from American warships.; General notes: A Japanese plane is shot down over a Navy New Orleans-class heavy cruiser during the attacks on Kwajalein and Wotje atolls, 4 December 1943. The cruiser is probably USS San Francisco (CA-38), the carrier the USS Yorktown (CV-10). Both ships came under attack around 12:50 hrs, San Francisco shooting down two planes, Yorktown one.
