Kondo Ai, 95 years old, has a rest on her buggy whilst out and about in a shopping street in Sugamo district (a district favoured by old people for a temple they visit and shops catering to their needs) of Tokyo, Japan, Wednesday 11th August 2010. Kondo Ai says she fully expects to reach the age of 100, and feels in very good health. Japan has recently launched a nationwide search for some missing elderly people, centenarians and 'city's oldest residents' who have moved address or have disappeared from known registrars. The discrepancies, and disappearances, came to light when officials updated public records of elderly citizens prior to a day in honour of the elderly.
