Any slight local irritation whichmay be set up usually subsides in two orthree hours; the addition of a small amountof cocaine to the supposttory will preventsuch irritation. A constitutional reactionusually follows in the course of two or threedays, consisting of nausea and lassitudewith some rise of temperaturs, which soonpasses off.
