Maxi- mum. Mini- mum. Average of daily Mean,. The temperatures as recorded in these tables are very similar to those for most places in the lowlands in the Philippines. Table LXI shows a mean annual temperature for the period from October, 1911, to January, 1915, of °. The mean tem- perature for Manila * from 1885 to 1907 was °. The abso- lute maximum recorded for Manila during the same years was °, and the minimum, 15°. As might be expected from the longer time covered by the Manila records, the extremes are greater than those recorded for Los Baiios; the maximum in the latter place being °, and the minimum, °. From Table LXI it will be seen that the average variation in the mean temperature is comparatively slight. Thus, the lowest mean temperature for a corresponding four-week period is °, and the highest, °, a difference of °. The highest mean temperature for any week was °, for the weeks ending May 1 and May 29, 1914; and the lowest was °, for the weeks ending January 31 and September 26, 1913, respectively. The average daily variation in temperature is also compara- tively slight, the average daily maximum for the entire period from October, 1911, to January, 1915, being °, and the average daily minimum, °, or an average daily range of °. Temperatures were also recorded, in the manner previously descri
