Guests at a fashionable salon, all wearing extravagent fur-lined clothes, jackets, dresses and pelisses. By the early 19th century, fur lined and trimmed cloaks, coats and jackets were all the rage. "Once, or rather in the past, we saw only bare shoulders and arms. Today, decked out in witzchouras (fur cloaks) and fur caps, ladies show barely the tips of their noses."
