Robinson & Cleaver Building, 56 Donegall Place, Belfast, Northern Ireland, a six-storey building building in white Scrabo stone.


A six-storey building building in white Scrabo sandstone and ground floor polished red Scottish granite. Built 1886 - 88 by H & J Martin to designs by Young & Mackenzie for Royal Irish Linen. The carvings of some fifty sculpted heads of the firm's most famous patrons are by Harry Hems. The ground floor was originally dominated by a "nobly proportioned and exceedingly beautiful staircase of white Sicilian marble" with statues of Erin and Britannia at its base.
